Spring Festival for The Lands at Hillside Farms

Get ready for our second annual spring festival. The day will be packed full of food and fun for everyone.

Here's just a taste of what you'll find... Children's activities Pony Rides 1:30 to 4:30, $3/ticket, $2/photo Free Face painting Old-fashioned games like sack races, 3 legged races, crafts. Free Horse Drawn Hay Rides, Noon to 2:30 and 2:30 to 5. Storytelling by Mary Baker Animals: see different kinds of cows, sheep, horses, donkeys, ducks, other birds and some spring time baby animals! Sponsor a Cow fundraiser. Folk music by Dick Bolt and Jim Kimball Artisan Demonstrators Basket making by Susi Nuss Blacksmithing by David Sechrist Coopering (barrel making) by David Miller Felting by Sandra Middaugh Guerts Stone carving by Marshall Rambaugh Craft artists Healthy Food: pork bbq, organic hot dogs, hamburgs, wimpies, popcorn, Burdick Farms dipping sauces, root beer, fresh ice tea, fruit pies, coffee, Zina's Fudge, The Lands of Hillside Farms' ice cream and more ! Farmers: Burdick Creek Gardens, Lents, Forks, Shadyrill Farm and Bakery and The Lands at Hillside Farms will have some early spring vegetables, meats, perennials, and some plants to start your garden.
Other sundry activities Experience a pictorial history in the Museum Barn. View our antique exhibit in the Carriage Barn. Join the dedication of our restored greenhouse hut, completed by members of the Leadership Wilkes Barre Class of 2007.
