Dick Bolt and Jim Kimball at Grand Opening

Jim Kimball and Dick Bolt will perform at this year's Spring Festival.

Dick Bolt - is an experienced, multi-faceted entertainer, musician and teacher. He is trained and skilled as a singer and instrumentalist and plays fiddle, celtic harp, guitar, banjo, and keyboards. Dick has performed in bands and as a freelance musician for over 35 years. His performances have included a wide variety of public and private events throughout upstate New York. He teaches fiddle and guitar lessons and appears throughout the Rochester, New York area as a member of the popular traditional Irish trio Tullamore Celtic Band. Jim and Dick perform regularly at the Farmer's Museum in Cooperstown and the Genesee Country Museum in Mumford, New York, where they specialize in 19th century popular and folk music traditions.
Jim Kimball teaches music history, world music and folklore and directs the Geneseo String Band at the School of Performing Arts at State University at Geneseo. Jim plays fiddle, button accordion, keyboards, jaw harp, bones, and banjo. When he's not busy with his instruments, he calls square dances and frequently lectures and presents papers on many musical subjects. Jim has collected tunes and stories from several old-time musicians and callers, and has written articles and presented at folk arts and museum venues.
